To work Google Maps, you first need to enable location access to allow it to know your location (you can do this by going to your phone’s settings, then ‘Network and Connectivity’, and turning on Geolocation). Google Maps can help you in many ways. For instance, in ‘Search’ (you can type or speak to search for something), you can find a place on a map by keying in the address and getting directions to it.To get more details on a map, use the zoom in and zoom out buttons. 

Want to avoid traffic jams? Find information about your travel route before you set off by clicking ‘Traffic’ to see congestion spots. No idea where to eat? ‘Restaurants’ show you places near you, plus opening and closing information. Search for gas stations, transit stations like train stations, bus stations, and entertain yourself with aerial views of the earth in ‘Satellite’ (under ‘Map Layers’). 

In ‘Settings’, you can choose your preferred language. The ‘Help’ section is useful. It has videos to show you how to search for a location, how to use the map, and how to get directions.
