Back up and synchronise your phone’s data on cloud
Storing and transferring the contacts, photos and videos on your phone
First sign up using your email address. Then enter your email and create a username and password. An email to verify your email address will be sent to you. Click on the link in the email. Enter your email and password, then you can begin! You can also back up your photos and videos in the phonecopy.com storage. If you want this, simply check the boxes to select these options.
When you’re done making your selections, hit the ‘Let’s start’ button. A menu comes up with ‘Synchronize’ as the first button. ‘Settings’, lists the options you’ve selected for backup (contacts, photos, videos). This is useful for checking to see you’ve chosen everything you want. Hit ‘Synchronize’. The app will ask for permission to access your photos and videos, if you’ve selected those previously. Hit ‘Allow’. The app then uploads the files to the server.
When the upload is complete, you can go to the phonecopy.com website and key in your email address (or username) and password to see the files uploaded. The phone you used will be listed here too. On this site, you can select options to show sync details, edit the device (your phone) or assign another device.
A fantastic app to use to back up, store and transfer your data from your phone. And it’s free!
In ‘Settings’ to see the options you’ve selected for backup (contacts, photos, videos), you can only view this list. You can’t select an item you’ve missed out, or unselect an item if you’ve changed your mind. You’d have to go back to the initial selection menu. A suggestion from Kobi? It would be far easier and more intuitive if you could make changes to your selection from this list.
