The world’s first video arcade game!
A flashback to table tennis in 1972
The original Pong game, released in 1972 by Atari, was based on table tennis (ping pong). It was the world’s first arcade video game and took the world by storm! This KaiOS app version is similarly based on ping pong.
Use the phone’s scroll button to move your platform (paddle) from left to right to hit the ball back and forth across the net, to score points. The first player to score 10 points wins. I had a lot of fun playing Pong! If you are looking for an absorbing game during a short break, Pong is for you.
The app is very well optimised for KaiOS devices and runs very smoothly. There were no lags in the movement of my platform (paddle) or the ball itself, which made playing very enjoyable.
There are also two different ways to move the platform—the directional buttons and the number pad. I found this very helpful, since I was more comfortable playing using the number pad.
There are no instructions, so first-time players may be a bit confused in the beginning.
It may take a while for new players to get used to the controls of the platform, mostly the platform’s increased speed when the button is pressed longer, but it wasn’t a big issue.
